HOW TO GET HERE From Oslo city center you go by bus 31 Tonsenhagen or bus 31 Grorud to busstop “Årvollveien”. The bus runs every ten minutes during daytime and night time every 15 minutes. Check ruter.no for timetables. Address: Årvoll gård, Årvollveien 35, Oslo.

FOOD AND DRINKS DURING THE WEEKEND One of the fridges will be marked and available for you to keep food and drinks for lunch and supper. Please mark the food with your name. There’s a grocery store, Rema 1000, 7 minutes away by foot and a few fast food shops around the corner.

We will offer some simple snacks like nuts, cookies and fruit inbetween classes and in the evenings. Our lovely volunteers will also bring cakes for the evenings. Coffee and tea will be available.

Sunday brunch will be held at 12.30 on Sunday. Please bring your contributions (1 or 2 food items) for the brunch to share. Please leave the food Saturday or Sunday morning at latest an hour before brunch starts, mark the food items with “brunch” and leave them in the fridge marked brunch. If you make something for the brunch we will be happy if you write a sign with the ingredients.

The festival is made by and for you. So please sign up for volunteering. We especially need people to help out with the kitchen during evenings. As kitchen help you will refill coffee, tea, glasses and snacks, and if needed wash glasses.

Our volunteer sign up!

We look forward to dance with you all again!

NEWS! We will have a vintage/retro SHOP! You can bring your own items to sell in the shop. Hang maximum three items at a time and mark them with price and your phonenumber. Easy as pie!

Our next adventure of slow dancing and cosy vibes will take place at Årvoll gård in the springtime of 2026. The sign-up for Full Passes and Party passes are open. Our visiting teachers will be lovely Shieva Norusian and Giovanni Ligorio from Berlin. They will bring their smooth slow dancing and do a deep dive into the world of slow balboa.

There will be around 6 hours of classes, 2 nights of excellent live music and a cosy tea dance on Sunday. On Friday we will listen and dance to Georg Reiss quartet with the energetic and charming Majken Christiansen on vocals. Saturday evening we will once again welcome Ada and her swinging jazzhoppers on stage. Ada will set the right mood for the night with her smooth vocals.

We will have three different tasters with skilled dancers in waltz, folk dance and tango. See the menue Tasters to read more about the taster teachers and their classes.

We look forward to dance with you all. See you soon!

Thank you for a lovely weekend in 2025!

We truly enjoyed ourselves and hope you also did. ❣️

During Friday we where dancing to the amazing Natalie Aldema band and Saturday to the radient Ada and her Swinging Jazzhoppers.

Daytime we enjoyed the classes of our lovely and knowledgeable main teachers Luis and Maria from Mallorca. It was truly effortless and inspiring teaching. A big thank you to our taster teachers Maria (slow moves from old clips), Anna and Sean (Ballroomin Blues), Erlend and Leonard (Foxtrot) and Esther (exercise for dancers).

We would like to thank each one of you for making this event extra special. You all contributed with your presence and volunteering on so many areas: flowers, decorations, making refreshments, Sunday brunch food, DJing, the kitchen, prepping Sunday brunch and washing up, the door, transport, hosting, baking cakes and rigging our venue. And we are sending a special tribute and free pass for next year to our volunteer of the year – Judith. She arrived first to the party and left last. You will get a free pass for 2026.

We have sent you all a questionnaire by email and really hope you take the time to answer. With your honest feedback we can do even better next year!

We love you all and look forward to the spring edition of O´Slow. We are returning to a spring event. Do not be an April fool and, instead, join the sixth edition 10-12 April, 2026. Save the date! 🐓
